Air-Fest Celebration: The legendary airshow returned to the Millington Jetport September 17-18, 2011. Featured The US Navy Flight Demonstration Team - The Blue Angels! The 2011 world-class show event presented by Naval Aviation. Millington has hosted the airshow every two years from 1999 to 2007. After a short break the show returned September 17-18, 2011.

The Airshow attendance was 75,000 people over the 2 day event.  Revenue was 1M.  Proceeds went to The Boy Scouts, Memphis Oral School for the Deaf and Madonna Learning Center.  Each received $135,000.00. Click for more info.

Annual Airplane Pull: The event features adult teams of 20 and youth teams of 10 that pull Fed Ex aircraft. Adult teams will pull a Fed Ex 727 jet, weighing 155,000 pounds, the length of 12 feet. Youth teammates, ages 10-17, will pull a Fed Ex ATR feeder aircraft, weighing 32,000 pounds, a distance of 20 feet. Adult teams pay a minimum of $1200 to enter; youth teams pay $300. Teams have the option of contributing up to $5,000 as a sponsor. Proceeds benefit Special Kids and Families (SKF), based, celebrating over 20 years of providing early intervention services for children with developmental disabilities and delays ages newborn to Our next scheduled Plan Pull will be posted early 2012.
